Lead Naval Architect

Are you able to lead the conceptual and basic design of specialty ships and offshore vessels and do you posses excellent English communication skills? Are you looking to join a Holland based engineering consultancy company with an excellent reputation and a filled order book.
As a Lead Naval Architect you are responsible for the complete the conceptual and basic technical design of offshore vessels, naval ships, specialty ships and related constructions and installations.
On a day to day basis you´ll work on:

• Concept and basic design of ships and maritime structures
• Carrying out supporting naval and constructive calculations
• Writing technical specifications for outsourcing and realization of the design
• Guidance and steering of your team members
• Maintain client contacts and monitor the performance.

• A university degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent
• Plus 5 years experience in a similar role
• Fully versed with Naval Architecture calculations (CAD/FEM/NA)
• Excellent command of the English language
• Good communication skills and editorial skills
• Solution-focused and a well-developed sense of responsibility.

Our client is a naval Architecture and Marine engineering firm that designs ships, constructions and installations for offshore, naval and specialist vessels. They provide a multidisciplinary package of services for the total design and engineering of maritime projects. They offer support in all project phases including feasibility studies. This organisation specialises in ship design and Marine engineering including the conceptual development of special ships and Naval vessels and the design of offshore vessels with their associated equipment.
