As offshore wind energy becomes increasingly central to the global energy shift, there is a rising need for complex marine transport and installation solutions. The sheer scale of modern converter platforms and topsides demands specialized lifting techniques and cutting-edge engineering approaches. We are seeking a Mid/Senior Level Heavy Lift Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and innovative solutions for the transport and installation of large offshore structures. You’ll contribute to the full engineering lifecycle, from concept development and feasibility studies through to offshore execution support.

Aufgaben

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse project requirements and develop technical specifications for heavy lift operations, including topside installation, jacket lifting, and transport logistics.
  • Perform engineering calculations and prepare detailed lift plans, method statements, and technical documentation.
  • Develop lifting procedures and operational manuals for load-out, transfer, mooring, towing, and offshore installation activities.
  • Design custom lifting tools, such as rigging arrangements, spreader bars, pad eyes, and lift frames.
  • Interface with structural engineers, naval architects, vessel crews, subcontractors, classification societies, and marine warranty surveyors.
  • Conduct feasibility and conceptual design studies for single-lift operations of topsides and jackets 
  • Prepare input for commercial tenders and proposals, including method statements and equipment specifications.
  • Stay informed on the development of new heavy lift systems and contribute to innovation in offshore lifting practices.
  • Perform site inspections at fabrication yards to assess platform condition and lifting readiness.
  • Support the execution of factory acceptance and commissioning tests for lifting and handling equipment.

Anforderungen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace, or a related technical field.

  • 4–6 years of experience in offshore heavy lift engineering, marine construction, or a similar environment.

  • Practical knowledge of offshore lifting methods and equipment.

  • Experience working with large topsides, jackets, or heavy subsea structures is a strong advantage.

  • Strong team player with excellent coordination and communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel internationally and support offshore operations as needed.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Passion for engineering challenges and the renewable energy transition.
