Buyer / Contracting Specialist – HVAC Installations (Cruise Vessels)

This position requires a balance between technical understanding and commercial acumen - you will negotiate, draft, and finalize contracts with external installation partners, ensuring that all agreements are clear, compliant, and cost-effective.

You will collaborate closely with internal engineering and project management teams as well as international subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with company goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with HVAC installation subcontractors (e.g. Calitech or Baltic installation firms).
• Ensure all contractual terms are compliant, transparent, and protect the company’s commercial and legal interests.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments - Engineering, Project Management, and Legal - to align technical and commercial requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying and qualifying new subcontractors.
• Support tendering and procurement activities to ensure cost-efficient and timely project execution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement and contracting procedures, tools, and documentation.

• Degree in Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen / Kaufmann/Kauffrau), Business Administration, or a comparable commercial/technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (procurement, contracting, or project coordination in a technical environment).
• Strong technical understanding (preferably with exposure to HVAC, shipbuilding, or industrial installations).
• Basic legal/commercial contract knowledge (must understand contract terms and risks).
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Structured, reliable, and pragmatic personality with a hands-on attitude.
