For one of our client's, a leading engineering consultancy specializing in high-end technical solutions for complex maritime and offshore environments, we are looking for experienced HVAC engineers with offshore experience to strengthen their team early next year.In this position, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing HVAC systems for offshore installations, where durability, robustness, and functionality are paramount. These systems must endure harsh environmental conditions and remain easily maintainable even in remote locations.

Aufgaben

As HVAC Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop HVAC systems tailored to offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, thermal load calculations, and system simulations.
  • Select materials and equipment suitable for the extreme offshore climate and corrosion risks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system integration within the overall platform design.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities on-site or remotely, considering that repairs may require helicopter access.
  • Ensure all solutions prioritize maintainability, operational reliability, and energy efficiency.

Anforderungen

  • Relevant education within the field of mechanical engineer (or similar).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC engineering, with at least 2 years in offshore projects.
  • Strong understanding of offshore environmental challenges, system durability requirements, and maintenance constraints.
  • Experience with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, NORSOK, ASHRAE, DNV).
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software and 3D modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
