Lead Naval Architect - Shipbuilding

You’ll lead a passionate team of naval architects, guiding them through technical challenges, standardizing design rules, and driving continuous improvement. Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with structural and mechanical teams to deliver projects that are not only top quality but also cost-effective and aligned perfectly with client needs.

Your mission? Transform client visions into actionable, efficient design solutions while keeping communication clear and consistent at every stage—from design and production through to commissioning and after-sales support. As the go-to expert, you’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues, clients, and suppliers alike.

What You Bring to the Deck:

• HBO/WO degree or equivalent experience in naval architecture

• At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in marine engineering or naval architectural projects

• Strong expertise in stability, weight calculations, and knowledge of ship resistance and powering

• Bonus skills: DP calculations, mooring analysis, FEA, CFD

• A naturally optimistic, energetic, and sociable personality

• Pragmatic, structured, and detail-oriented approach

• Self-starter with the ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines

• Proven leadership skills with a passion for coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level team members

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken (Dutch is a plus)
