Aufgaben

As an Operational Planner, you are the central interface between Production, Project Management, and Group Management. You ensure that schedules, budgets, resources, and capacities are aligned to support smooth execution across multiple yards and project phases. This role is ideal for a structured, proactive planner who communicates confidently across technical and commercial teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining, and defending detailed operative installation schedules for assigned AC rooms and systems
  • Translating the overall ship schedule into MSC-specific sub-plans aligned with on-site execution
  • Daily operative planning using Microsoft Project, including exporting schedules to Excel for operational use
  • Coordinating closely with installation coordinators and supervisors to align planning with actual site progress
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractor manpower capacity, workload distribution, and productivity assumptions
  • Supporting and defending planned hours and schedules within fixed-price project budgets
  • Participating in discussions and negotiations with subcontractors regarding capacity, performance, and scheduling conflicts
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between Papenburg-based planning, Hamburg-based material and preparatory teams, and global subcontractors
  • Preparing operative planning updates and progress reports for project and group management
  • Supporting project teams during critical phases close to milestones and ship redelivery

Anforderungen

  • Completed technical or commercial vocational training with several years of professional experience, or equivalent practical background
  • Further qualification as technician, master craftsman, or comparable experience is an advantage
  • Experience in operative planning, scheduling, production planning, or project control, ideally in cruise ship or complex industrial projects
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 and strong MS Office skills
  • Understanding of installation processes (HVAC, piping, or similar technical disciplines)
  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness when working with subcontractors and interdisciplinary teams
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Fluent in German

  • Competitive salary, €4.000 - €4.500,- per month, depending on experience and role
