Senior Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take full ownership of the electrical engineering scope within a high-end yachtbuilding project. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate interdisciplinary design efforts, and ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

• Ensure all electrical designs comply with technical specifications, classification society requirements, flag state regulations, and internal quality and safety standards.
• Evaluate the feasibility and manufacturability of electrical systems in close coordination with other engineering disciplines.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and interdisciplinary challenges.
• Lead the verification and approval of engineering documentation, including 3D models and technical drawings, prior to submission for production or inspection.
• Manage and process design changes and updates to technical documentation with precision and timeliness.
• Facilitate effective communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, to align design outputs and resolve emerging issues.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional development and adherence to best engineering practices.
• Monitor project progress to ensure the timely and budget-compliant completion of engineering deliverables.
• Support production activities by acting as a liaison between engineering and on-site construction when required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal engineering standards, tools, and workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (equivalent to a Fachhochschule – HBO-Bachelor).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an electrical engineer in shipbuilding or yachtbuilding.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a senior engineering role within a complex project environment.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, production methods, and manufacturability.
• Familiarity with CAD and PLM systems (e.g., AutoCAD, Teamcenter).
• Understanding of maritime safety, classification rules, and flag state regulations.
