Senior Marine Electrical Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

In this assignment, you will function as the technical authority for electrical engineering and automation across complex vessels, many of which operate within a defence and security context. You will oversee system integration from power generation through to ship-wide control systems, coordinating closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies.

Aufgaben

  • Leading the electrical and automation scope within advanced marine and naval projects
  • Managing electrical system architecture for power generation and distribution
  • Ensuring correct integration of vessel-wide systems such as alarms, fire detection, and lighting
  • Taking responsibility for centralized and decentralized automation and control solutions
  • Defining, coordinating, and monitoring interfaces between different technical systems and suppliers
  • Acting as the main technical contact for clients, suppliers, classification societies, flag states, and authorities
  • Supervising and aligning the activities of electrical subcontractors
  • Preparing and supporting commissioning activities, sea trials, and acceptance testing
  • Supporting innovation initiatives, special assignments, and R&D-related activities

Anforderungen

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • Proven track record in electrical and automation engineering within complex marine or naval environments
  • Strong capability in integrating multidisciplinary systems and managing technical interfaces
  • Comfortable taking full ownership of long-term, technically demanding assignments with minimal supervision
  • Project-oriented mindset with a structured and methodical approach to work
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and negotiate where required
  • Good command of standard engineering and office software; experience with AutoCAD and Teamcenter is a plus
  • EU citizenship is mandatory
