Marine Systems & Piping
We are looking for a 3D Design Engineer (m/w/d) to join our design team. In this role, you will coordinate external engineering offices and work on detailed ship design tasks, including piping, outfitting, and systems integration. The position offers exposure to diverse projects and the chance to shape innovative marine solutions in a dynamic, international environment.

Tasks

  • You will independently develop 2D/3D installation spaces and convert 2D schematic plans into a 3D model
  • You will coordinate piping, duct and cable systems with the 3D CAD system CADMATIC Outfitting, taking into account technical specifications, standards and rules
  • You will develop creative technical solutions for narrow or complex spatial structures
  • You will create technical drawings, e.g. room furnishings, breakthrough, workshop or isometric drawings and actively participate in the further development of processes
  • You identify technical problems at an early stage and find solutions independently
  • You will be involved in the creation and maintenance of standards and documentation
  • You act as an important interface to other departments, trades and external engineering offices
  • If necessary, you will take on project-related tasks in other assemblies
  • General administrative activities are also part of your area of work

Job requirements

  • Completed technical training (e.g., technical school or vocational training) with relevant experience, or comparable qualification.

  • Strong technical understanding and coordination experience.

  • Knowledge of CADMATIC preferred; experience with other 3D software (e.g., Siemens NX, Ship Constructor, Aveva) also suitable.

  • Proficiency in design tools, ERP systems, and standard IT applications.

  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • English proficiency. German is a big plus.
