Commissioning Engineer – Hybrid Power & Propulsion Systems Yachts

Work where precision meets prestige. You’ll be commissioning hybrid propulsion systems on the most advanced superyachts in the industry, each a floating innovation lab. As part of the commissioning team, you’ll work hands-on with high-voltage equipment, automation systems, and complex control architectures. You will enter the project once the vessel is ready for system checks and will stay involved until the systems are tested, accepted, and operational.

Tasks


  • Verify and test installations and sub-systems onboard
  • Identify and resolve faults in electrical and automation systems
  • Perform functional testing (FAT, HAT, SAT) and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical documentation
  • Support system handover to client, including corrective actions where needed

Job requirements


  • Bachelors in electrical engineering or industrial automation
  • Working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley or Wago)
  • Understanding of propulsion and power systems (DEIF and/or SYMAP)
  • Familiarity with water-cooled drives (Danfoss, ABB) and battery systems
  • Valid NEN3140 and VCA-VOL, or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch
