In this role, based in the Amsterdam area, you will be responsible for the integration of advanced electrical systems on innovative and technically complex vessels. Tasks

  • Designing and integrating onboard electrical systems: power distribution, NAVCOM, entertainment, and lighting.
  • Developing precise connection diagrams and detailed cable lists in E-Plan.
  • Creating and updating key technical documents such as 2D CAD drawings, BOMs, and system schematics.
  • Coordinating integration efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Leading and supporting FAT, HAT, and SAT system tests.
  • Ensuring compliance with marine safety standards and classification rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd’s, SOLAS).
  • Troubleshooting integration issues involving I/Os, serial data, protocols, and hardware interfaces.

Job requirements

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical system integration, ideally within yachtbuilding, shipbuilding, or offshore sectors.
  • A completed HBO Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC/DC distribution, automation, and control logic.
  • Hands-on experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD, Cadmatic, and PLM Teamcenter.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with cross-functional teams.
  • A structured, analytical mindset with a strong focus on practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

  • A competitive salary of €4,500–€6,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
