Tasks
- Designing and integrating onboard electrical systems: power distribution, NAVCOM, entertainment, and lighting.
- Developing precise connection diagrams and detailed cable lists in E-Plan.
- Creating and updating key technical documents such as 2D CAD drawings, BOMs, and system schematics.
- Coordinating integration efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure optimal functionality.
- Leading and supporting FAT, HAT, and SAT system tests.
- Ensuring compliance with marine safety standards and classification rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd’s, SOLAS).
- Troubleshooting integration issues involving I/Os, serial data, protocols, and hardware interfaces.
Job requirements
- A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical system integration, ideally within yachtbuilding, shipbuilding, or offshore sectors.
- A completed HBO Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC/DC distribution, automation, and control logic.
- Hands-on experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD, Cadmatic, and PLM Teamcenter.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with cross-functional teams.
- A structured, analytical mindset with a strong focus on practical solutions.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
