A Lead Electrical Engineer is needed by an advanced system integrator in the yacht building sector. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design and system integration of high-end superyachts, some of the most advanced and luxurious vessels in the world, ensuring technical excellence and smooth execution throughout the project.

Tasks

  • Leading engineering activities for third-party system integration.
  • Designing panels for distribution, starter, and control functions.
  • Preparing installation drawings (fire detection, WCDs, junction boxes, panels).
  • Coordinating lighting, alarm monitoring, and related hardware/software systems.
  • Performing and updating calculations (power balance, heat loss, short circuit, selectivity).
  • Drafting protocols and overseeing manufacturing and commissioning.
  • Managing revisions, supplier interfaces, and maintaining structured communication with teams and clients.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in shipbuilding.
  • Strong analytical, systematic, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in English.
