Marine Piping Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Engineer Marine Piping Systems to support the design and integration of advanced piping systems for high-end naval vessels. In this role, you will be responsible for developing engineering packages, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring technical compliance with all project and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of complex shipbuilding projects.

Tasks

  • Analyze and assess technical specifications for marine piping systems, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.

  • Develop and model basic engineering packages for piping systems using 3D CAD tools.

  • Create detailed engineering and production documentation based on initial design data.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the integration and optimization of piping systems.

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary design processes and project design reviews.

  • Identify potential design issues, propose improvements, and support resolution of technical challenges.

  • Ensure all engineering outputs align with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in piping systems engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or offshore installations.

  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software; experience in modeling complex piping systems is essential.

  • Strong understanding of marine industry regulations and engineering standards.

  • Experience with high-end vessel projects and interaction with classification societies is a plus.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Must hold permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport (due to the military nature of the project).

  • Able to provide excellent references; pre-employment security screening is mandatory.

Conditions

  • Competitive salary based on experience (€4.500 - €5.500 gross per month)

  • At least 25 days of paid holiday, plus 13 ADV days

  • Commuting cost reimbursement based on your chosen mode of transport (car, public transport, or bike)

  • Relocation support, including help with registration, legal and tax matters, and housing advice

  • Language course compensation up to €500 to help you get started smoothly
