Naval ArchitectureAs a NAPA Hull Engineer, you will play a critical role in the preliminary design phase of large-scale cruise ships. You will focus on hull form development, hydrostatics, and structural planning, ensuring optimal performance and safety from the very first stages of the design process.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing hull forms and conducting hydrostatics and stability calculations in NAPA
Supporting the creation of general arrangement drawings and concept designs
Performing early-stage structural design calculations
Ensuring integration of hull form requirements into the overall vessel concept
Collaborating closely with naval architects, hydrodynamic specialists, and classification societies
Providing technical input during internal design reviews and workshops
Contributing to documentation for design approval and feasibility analysis
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or a related field
Solid experience with NAPA software, specifically in early-stage or basic design
Strong understanding of hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and structural basics
Previous experience in concept design of large passenger or commercial vessels is a strong advantage
Good command of English, both spoken and written
Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills
Willingness to relocate to or commute to Papenburg
