Naval Architecture
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving the design and evolution of state-of-the-art naval vessels, ensuring their systems and performance meet the highest standards of technological innovation.

Tasks

In this advanced engineering position, you’ll contribute to the development of next-generation naval vessels through a range of critical tasks:

  • Leading Design & Development: Manage the complete design process—from analyzing technical requirements and developing innovative concepts to defining system architecture using tools like 2D/3D CAD, MBSE models, and single-line diagrams. Key responsibilities include weight and power estimation, propulsion and energy system configuration, and ensuring overall ship balance.

  • Advancing New Concepts: Assess and validate emerging engineering solutions, lead proof-of-concept initiatives, and deliver well-documented insights and technical evaluations.

  • Turning Concepts into Deliverables: Create detailed models, technical specifications, and comprehensive documentation. Present analytical data and design outcomes through structured reports and compelling presentations.

  • Promoting Integrated Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with internal departments and project stakeholders to support coordinated design efforts and achieve optimal project results.




Job requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Must have permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates with only EU work visas or dual/non-EU citizenship are not eligible due to project security requirements.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of three years’ hands-on experience in design, proposal development, or R&D in naval, maritime, or offshore industries.

  • Proven track record of delivering innovations in marine engineering.

  • Skilled in CAD software and engineering calculation tools.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Dutch language skills are a plus.

  • Able to pass security screening and provide strong professional references.
