As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a discipline-specific engineering team, ensuring the highest quality in design and execution, and collaborating with top-tier professionals in the field.

Tasks

You'll join a highly skilled engineering team and work closely with production, design departments, and classification societies to bring to life world-class vessels in the 80m+ superyachts range.

Tasks

  • Lead and manage the exterior / outfitting engineering scope within the project, ensuring quality, budget control, and timely delivery
  • Develop and oversee the final design, technical specifications, and 3D models while ensuring compliance with industry regulations (Class & Flag)
  • Act as a key technical expert, providing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
  • Ensure seamless interdisciplinary coordination with other engineering teams (e.g., structure, interior, mechanical, electrical), ensuring all interfaces are aligned.
  • Supervise and mentor (junior/senior) engineers, fostering professional growth and maintaining high-quality engineering standards
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including the Owner's team, to align expectations, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize yacht manufacturability
  • Monitor and enhance engineering processes to drive continuous improvement and innovation in luxury yacht design

Job requirements

  • BSc / MCs degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Maritime Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Engineer in yacht- or shipbuilding, with clear exposure to exterior and/or outfitting domains.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams
  • Strong knowledge of exterior/outfitting systems and construction, moving equipment and equipment integration
  • Solid understanding of production processes, assembly sequencing, and yard logistics for exterior/outfitting parts.
  • Relevant software knowledge: 3D AutoCAD and preferably Siemens NX / Teamcenter / Cadmatic (or similar yacht building CAD/PDM tools).
  • Good command of the English Language, both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to different stakeholders (engineering, production, owners, suppliers).
  • A proactive, quality-driven mindset with a passion for luxury yacht craftsmanship.
  • Naturally analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering quality and results

Conditions

  • An attractive monthly salary of € 4.500 – € 6.500, based on your experience
  • 30% tax ruling for the first five years (for positions in the Netherlands)
  • At least 25 days of paid holidays + ADV days
  • Compensation for commuting costs depending on your preferred means of transportation - own car / public transport / bike
  • Assistance with your relocation, i.e. registration, legal and fiscal matters, and housing advice
  • Language course compensation up to €500 so that you have a good kickstart
