Interior
Are you passionate about creating world-class interiors that blend technical mastery with exquisite design? We are looking for a Project Engineer - Interior to lead the engineering behind some of the most luxurious and technically advanced superyachts in the world. In this key position, you will take ownership of the technical realisation of complete interior spaces — from sweeping staircases and intricate ceilings to tailor-made lounges, bars, and furnishings. You'll ensure every element is not only beautiful, but also functional, manufacturable, and fully compliant with maritime standards. This is more than an engineering role — it’s a chance to bring ambitious design concepts to life and play a pivotal role in crafting floating masterpieces that set new benchmarks in the industry.

Tasks

  • Take the lead in transforming interior design concepts into high-quality, buildable solutions.

  • Guide the technical execution from start to finish with a relentless focus on precision and luxury.

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring efficient task distribution and strong team performance.

  • Maintain oversight to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards.

  • Act as the central point of contact between engineering, production, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Ensure full alignment on project goals, timelines, responsibilities, and expectations.

  • Evaluate the feasibility and manufacturability of all interior elements.

  • Ensure full compliance with class, safety, and engineering regulations throughout the design and build process.

  • Drive innovative solutions to complex technical and design challenges.

  • Influence the final quality, efficiency, and signature character of each yacht through your technical insight.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Engineer or 3 years as a Project Engineer in shipbuilding, yacht building, or a comparable high-end engineering environment

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
  • A strong affinity with complex interior construction and an eye for detail

  • Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills — able to inspire, organise, and deliver

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch a big plus

  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, NX, Cadmatic, Teamcenter)

  • A deep understanding of industry standards, interior integration, and production methods

  • Must be able to work onsite (Netherlands); remote working not offered.

Conditions

  • Depending on experience, salary range ( € 4.500 - € 5.500 / month)
  • Application for the 30% ruling (expat tax advantage)
  • 25 days of paid holidays + 13 extra paid ADV and paid national holidays
  • Compensation for commuting costs depending on your preferred means of transportation - own car / public transport / bike
  • Relocation support (incl. allowance, housing search, registration) and an on-boarding at our office for a warm & thorough welcome
