In this role, you will be responsible for guiding engineering teams in the successful execution of structural design for luxury yachts. You will bridge the gap between design and production while ensuring technical and planning excellence throughout the process.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing detailed planning and translating input from the Shipbuilding Manager into clear tasks and timelines for production.
- Coordinating and guiding CAD draftsmen in preparing technical drawings in alignment with shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, interior, paint, and stainless-steel departments.
- Ensuring timely entry of required materials into the system so the purchasing department can meet delivery deadlines.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate technical deliveries and installations.
- Preparing a comprehensive planning schedule in collaboration with the Shipbuilding Manager.
- Conducting weekly alignment meetings with fellow project managers from interior and mechanical departments to proactively solve issues.
- Participating in weekly discussions to review progress of preparation and production phases.
- Delivering all technical input required for the preparation of the sea trial documentation.
- Continuously monitoring and managing the project’s hourly budget, adjusting when necessary to stay within scope.
- Ensuring that the vessel structure is engineered and built within the defined weight budget.
