Tasks

As a Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind highly technical and multifaceted shipbuilding projects. Whether overseeing the refurbishment of an existing fleet or leading the construction of a brand-new offshore patrol vessel, you’ll guide your team from blueprint to final delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate project schedules, including forecasts.
  • Managing scope changes using structured verification techniques.
  • Allocating resources based on project needs and availability.
  • Overseeing budgetary performance through continuous financial analysis.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring cohesion across departments.
  • Collaborating closely with the Technical Project Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.

Job requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (NL: HBO / DE: Fachhochschule).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, long-term engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with IPMA or PMI methodologies at level C/D.
  • Background in electrical engineering and/or automation systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
