Tasks

As a Senior Naval Architect, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of vessel structures and systems. You will operate with a high level of independence and play a key role in delivering engineering solutions from concept through execution.

  • Develop and optimize vessel designs using NAPA, including hydrostatics, stability, and performance calculations
  • Perform concept and detailed design studies for ships and offshore structures
  • Independently manage engineering deliverables within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Ensure designs comply with international regulations, classification society rules, and project specifications
  • Analyse structural and hydrodynamic performance to improve efficiency and safety
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Support system integration and ensure alignment across engineering disciplines
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior engineers and take a leading role within assigned project scopes

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore / FPSO
  • Proven experience working with NAPA 
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables
  • Strong background in concept development and detailed design of vessels or offshore units
  • Experience working in a project-driven, engineering or shipyard environment
  • Familiarity with classification rules, international standards, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with engineering calculations, simulations, and system integration
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
