Tasks
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for offshore and marine structural engineering calculations, with a strong focus on temporary load cases and execution-driven design. You will work in a small, highly technical team, contributing directly to engineering decisions and project delivery across multiple offshore sectors, including preparation for offshore wind decommissioning.
- Structural calculations for offshore projects, including heavy lifting operations, transport & installation scopes, removal and decommissioning projects
- Design and verification of temporary steel structures, grillage and seafastening, lift points
- Assessment of abnormal and temporary load cases
- Preparation and review of structural reports and drawings
- Collaboration with project teams to ensure practical and constructible solutions
- Occasional travel to shipyards, ports, or project sites as required
Job requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or similar
- Experience in offshore, marine, or heavy structural engineering
- Solid understanding of steel structures and structural calculations
- Interest in temporary works and offshore operations
- Experience with heavy lifting, offshore installation, or decommissioning a big plus
- Fluent in English, basic German skills preferred
