An international leader in maritime automation, navigation, and control systems is seeking to appoint a Vice President, Sales. This is a pivotal executive role with full accountability for global revenue, order intake, margin discipline, and sales scalability. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will define and execute the global go-to-market strategy, build a high-performing commercial organization, and serve as the company’s senior commercial ambassador. This mandate comes at a crucial inflection point, as the business transitions into its next phase of profitable growth and operational excellence.

Tasks

Shape & Execute Growth Strategy

  • Define and implement a global go-to-market model aligned with long-term value creation objectives.
  • Expand into new geographies, segments, and business models to diversify revenue streams.
  • Translate strategy into actionable sales execution plans, performance metrics, and accountability structures.

Lead a High-Performance Sales Organization

  • Build, scale, and professionalize a world-class global sales team across regions and key accounts.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Standardize commercial processes and deploy modern sales tools to ensure scalability and predictability.

Drive Revenue, Margin & Governance

  • Deliver sustained revenue growth, EBITDA improvement, and cash conversion.
  • Enforce pricing discipline, contract quality, and governance to protect margins and mitigate risks.
  • Balance near-term delivery with strategic market positioning.

Strengthen Customer & Market Position

  • Act as the senior commercial ambassador with shipowners, shipyards, and strategic accounts worldwide.
  • Anticipate customer needs and influence product roadmaps in collaboration with Technology and Product Management.
  • Enhance the company’s positioning as a trusted premium partner, while also capturing opportunities in cost-sensitive segments.

Executive Leadership & Value Creation

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Team to deliver on strategic, financial, and operational KPIs.
  • Contribute to enterprise value creation across growth, margin improvement, organizational scalability, and recurring revenues.
  • Serve as a cultural role model, balancing entrepreneurial agility with disciplined execution.

Job requirements

  • Proven global sales leadership track record, ideally with full revenue or P&L responsibility in the maritime, shipbuilding, naval, satcom, or defense sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of automation, navigation, or integrated systems.

  • Demonstrated success in scaling international sales organizations and delivering sustained revenue and margin growth.

  • Expertise in complex solution sales, long-cycle projects, and recurring service/aftersales models.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Italian (preferred), German, Dutch, Danish, or Norwegian advantageous.

  • High travel flexibility and cultural adaptability.

  • NATO-born citizenship and eligibility for security clearance required.
