System Architecture and Integration

  • Define and maintain the electrical system architecture for complex naval vessels.

  • Ensure correct electrical integration of all onboard systems and installations.

  • Translate functional requirements into executable system designs.

Engineering and Design Oversight

  • Determine basic electrical design and coordinate detailed engineering activities.

  • Draft technical specifications for systems, components, and materials.

  • Review and assess technical data to support system-level decisions.

  • Delegate and technically guide detailed design activities where applicable.

Technical Analysis and Problem Solving

  • Analyse complex technical challenges and develop new system solutions.

  • Evaluate system behaviour, interfaces, and dependencies across disciplines.

  • Act as technical reference for electrical system integration topics.

Stakeholder and Certification Interface

  • Consult with clients and classification societies to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.

  • Support certification processes and design reviews.

  • Advise on system design choices during engineering and commissioning phases.

Testing and Commissioning Support

  • Participate in internal and external Factory Acceptance Tests.

  • Support Harbour Acceptance Tests and Sea Acceptance Tests where required.

  • Provide system-level input during commissioning and implementation activities.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance to a small team of Electrical Engineers.

  • Manage technical content, priorities, and quality within the electrical scope.

Functie eisen


  • Bachelor’s level knowledge in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Extensive experience in engineering electrical installations such as power generation, distribution, system integration, and lighting, preferably in the maritime sector.

  • Strong understanding of electrical materials, components, and control systems.

  • Experience with EPLAN considered an advantage.

  • Ability to technically lead and guide a small team of Electrical Engineers.

  • Knowledge of classification society requirements considered a plus.

  • Clear and effective communication skills in Dutch and or English, both written and verbal.

Voorwaarden

  • Salary between €4,165 and €6,000 gross per month, depending on experience.

  • 25 vacation days plus 13 ADV days.
