Exterior Specialist Engineer – Superyachts

As an Exterior Specialist Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical execution of complex exterior systems, with a strong focus on hatches. In addition, your scope will include hydraulic equipment, mooring systems, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion-related outfitting. You will ensure that all engineering deliverables meet the highest standards in design, 3D modelling, and technical documentation. Working closely with project teams and production, you will play a key role in turning visionary yacht designs into reality.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and refine detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with Class and Flag regulations, as well as internal project specifications.
• Conduct technical assessments to guarantee manufacturability and feasibility.
• Identify and solve technical bottlenecks, providing solutions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, production teams, and project leads to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Technology, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience within shipbuilding or yacht building.
• Proficiency in 3D AutoCAD; knowledge of Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Cadmatic is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of shipbuilding production processes and construction methods.
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and able to work independently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Specialist knowledge in exterior systems: hatches & hydraulics, mooring equipment, railings, exterior stairs, and propulsion outfitting.
