Manager Engineering Yachting

As Manager Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers, specialists, and project leaders to deliver high-quality electrical installations on luxury yachts. You play a vital role in shaping the vision and fostering innovation in engineering processes and team development.

Tasks:

• Provide daily leadership to the Engineering department (Lead Engineers, Engineers, Project Leaders, and Technical Specialists).
• Direct and guide ongoing department developments, such as moving towards data-driven engineering and functional drawings.
• Communicate and embed a shared vision of the future within the engineering team and the wider organization.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Yachting business unit.
• Coach and mentor employees to help them grow and develop.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and capabilities for current and future projects in coordination with project management.
• Advise sales on engineering capacity and ensure resources for proposal engineering when needed.
• Report on departmental competencies, capacity, and workload.
• Work closely with the Business Unit Manager Yachting.

• Minimum Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (maritime) electrical engineering.
• Several years of relevant experience, ideally in a similar leadership role.
• Strong organizational, structured, and process-oriented mindset.
• Decisive and convincing leadership qualities.
• Familiarity with the complete process of delivering electrical installations on ships (preferably yachts).
• Fluency in English.
