We are looking for a proactive and innovative Technical Inspector (Mechanical) to join the Technical Department of an internationally operating offshore organization. In this role, you will contribute to maintaining, repairing, and upgrading a diverse fleet of vessels, equipment, and yard facilities. The department focuses on delivering high-quality technical support both onshore and offshore, while continuously improving sustainability, efficiency, and compliance with evolving industry standards and regulations. As a Technical Inspector, you will work within a multidisciplinary team responsible for the day-to-day technical management of vessels and assets. You will also participate in company-wide improvement initiatives and oversee various technical projects, including maintenance campaigns, dry dockings, and investment projects.

Taken

  • Coordinate and supervise the maintenance and repair activities for designated vessels in close cooperation with the Technical Superintendents.

  • Ensure compliance with internal management systems as well as all relevant regulations from flag states, classification societies, IMO, and other authorities.

  • Drive and support continuous improvement efforts within the technical organization.

  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, classification agencies, and other external parties when needed.

  • Maintain accurate technical records, documentation, and operational history of vessels and equipment.

  • Identify opportunities for implementing new sustainable technologies and prepare supporting investment proposals.

  • Take responsibility for the daily technical operations and performance of assigned assets.

  • Manage technical projects from planning to execution, including budget monitoring and reporting.

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in offshore, dredging, construction, or shipbuilding industries.

  • Solid understanding of classification society standards, IMO regulations, and other applicable rules.

  • Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 20% of the time.

  • Competitive salary, €4.500 – €5.500 per month, depending on experience
