Senior Structural Hull Engineer (FEA)

As a Senior Structural Hull Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality structural designs and analyses, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

• Support and report to the Structural Hull Lead Engineer on project progress and technical matters
• Select appropriate methods, tools, and procedures for structural design and FEA calculations in line with project specifications
• Execute vessel hull structural analyses, ensuring compliance with international codes, industry standards, and company requirements
• Proactively plan and deliver engineering activities within agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring proper system integration
• Ensure all deliverables meet contractual obligations and internal quality standards
• Apply lessons learned and assess the impact of design changes across project interfaces
• Coordinate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties throughout the project lifecycle
• Take technical responsibility as Package Engineer for assigned scopes, including design and procurement support
• Act as Discipline Lead for specific project scopes when required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO equivalent) in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or Offshore Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design of ship hull structures
• Experience working on multidisciplinary projects in an international environment (FPSO/offshore experience is considered a strong plus)
• Strong technical foundation combined with a proactive, results-driven and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to take initiative, think creatively, and work effectively both independently and within a team
• Proficiency in FEA tools such as FEMAP or similar
• Hands-on experience with shipyard construction processes
• Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in ship hull design within an international engineering environment
• Willingness to travel when required
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
