In this role, you are part of the basic engineering team and act as a technical authority within outfitting engineering. You combine conceptual thinking with hands-on engineering, translating requirements into practical, buildable solutions.

Job description (Tasks)

  • Designing and developing general arrangements for accommodation, technical spaces, and outer deck areas
  • Engineering steel outfitting and deck layouts with focus on functionality, maintainability, safety, and ergonomics
  • Creating and reviewing 2D and 3D models and drawings using tools such as Cadmatic and CATIA / 3DExperience
  • Ensuring designs comply with class rules, naval standards, and customer specifications
  • Producing and checking fabrication, mounting, and installation documentation
  • Coordinating interfaces with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Supporting production, installation, and commissioning phases with technical expertise
  • Contributing to process improvements, yard standards, and engineering best practices
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting the professional growth of the outfitting team

Functie eisen

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in outfitting, arrangements, steel outfitting, or naval ship engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Cadmatic and/or CATIA / 3DExperience
  • Solid knowledge of shipbuilding standards, class rules, and production processes
  • Proven ability to develop arrangements, lists, and fabrication or mounting drawings
  • Strong understanding of usability, maintainability, and ergonomics in complex ship designs
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Excellent antecedents as a pre-employment security screening are a standard part of the recruitment procedure
  • Must be a permanent EU citizen

Voorwaarden

  • An attractive monthly salary of €4.000 – €6.300, based on your experience
  • Application for the 30% ruling (expat tax advantage)
