Middle Point is always looking for Structural Engineers (hull engineers and designers, FEM specialists, outfitting) with experience in the shipbuilding who consider a change in their professional career. The responsibilities are dependent on the clients need. Generally:

Development and optimization structures and structural designs of complex vessels,
Perform calculations and prepare drawings (scantlings, midship section etc.),
Some roles require performing 2D 3D modeling,
Maintaining contact with class, suppliers and other external parties,
Some roles require leading experience.

Functie eisen

The requirements are dependent on the clients need. Generally:

BSc or MSc in Naval Architecture or other relevant field,
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role,
Some roles require experience in using 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g. Catia, Cadmatic),
Some roles require showing of FEM skills of complex vessels,
Knowledge of the applicable classification societies rules and regulations,
Long term commitment and willingness to grow within the company,
Fluent English, command of Dutch is a plus,
EU citizenship is a must.
