An experienced Systems Integration Engineer specializing in Propulsion Systems is required by a leading shipyard in the Netherlands focusing on Naval Projects. Within the role, you will have full responsibility over the integration of propulsion systems onboard starting from initial design through to testing. You will manage all communication with suppliers/subcontractors monitoring and approving workload.

Tasks

The responsibilities of the Systems Integration Engineer will be:

  • Create technical specifications for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support purchasing department with technical evaluations and quotes.
  • Monitor progression and quality of subcontracted parties related to mechanical drawings, schematics, calculations etc.
  • Responsible for the integration of components and systems related to propulsion systems.
  • Involved in inspection of technical performance (FAT, HAT, SAT) for propulsion equipment.

Job requirements

The Systems Integration Engineer will have the following experience:

  • Minimum BSc. In either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with propulsion systems.
  • Experience within the maritime industry (Naval, Offshore, or commercial shipbuilding).
  •  Strong communication skills in English (Dutch highly advantageous).
  • Must be an EU Citizen!

Conditions

  • Annual salary circa € 60.000 gross per year,
