A renowned global shipbuilder  with a project team in Germany is on the lookout for a well-experienced fluent GERMAN SPEAKING Site Coordinator  with strong electrical background  for a prolonged, project-oriented position on an interim basis.

Acting as the vigilant overseer on a shipbuilding yard in either Kiel or Wolgast, you will serve as the vital conduit for Subcontract Managers. Your primary responsibility involves guaranteeing the flawless execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical quipment by subcontractors. Your proficient management style will harmonize with contractual and customer specifications, maintaining a watchful stance on project timelines and promptly resolving any discrepancies that may arise.

Tasks

  • Stay updated on the actual scope
  • Actively engage in problem-solving
  • Ensure proper follow-up of engineering and contractual change processes
  • Advise Supply Chain and Yard Manager on contractual changes with Electrical Subcontractors
  • Monitor progress and contribute to alignment meetings
  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies and initiatives
  • Attend daily and weekly alignment meetings

Job requirements

  • Minimum of five years of collective experience in construction, preferably with a general contractor or in construction management, with a preference for shipbuilding expertise.
  • Profound understanding of subcontract and installation requirements, technical proficiency in construction processes and terminology, and hands-on experience in change order management and project closeout.
  • Strong communication skills in German, both written and verbal, along with a solid grasp of the English language.
  • Key competencies include initiative, the ability to work independently, a keen overview, attentive listening, and flexibility.
  • Impeccable references are essential, as pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment process.
