A renowned global shipbuilder  with a project team in Germany is on the lookout for a well-experienced fluent GERMAN SPEAKING Site Coordinator  with strong HVAC background  for a prolonged, project-oriented position on an interim basis.

Acting as the vigilant overseer on a shipbuilding yard in either Kiel or Wolgast, you will serve as the vital conduit for Subcontract Managers. Your primary responsibility involves guaranteeing the flawless execution, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment by subcontractors. Your proficient management style will harmonize with contractual and customer specifications, maintaining a watchful stance on project timelines and promptly resolving any discrepancies that may arise.

Tasks


In your role as the Site Coordinator HVAC, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Actively engaging in problem-solving, staying informed about the actual scope, and ensuring the proper follow-up of engineering and contractual change processes.
  • Providing advice to the Supply Chain and Yard Manager regarding contractual changes with HVAC Subcontractors, while monitoring progress and actively contributing to alignment meetings.
  • Regularly attending both daily and weekly alignment meetings.
  • Strictly adhering to all company safety and security policies and initiatives

Job requirements

  • A minimum of five years of combined experience in construction, preferably with a general contractor or in construction management, with a preference for experience in shipbuilding.
  • In-depth understanding of subcontract and installation requirements.
  • Technical competence in the construction process and terminology.
  • Experience with change order management and project closeout.
  • Excellent communication skills in German (mandatory), both written an verbal. Excellent English communication skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Keen overview of project requirements. Attentive listening skills.
  • Flexibility in adapting to dynamic project needs.
  • Security and Citizenship: Excellent references, as pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure. Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with NL/EU (work) visas or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible, in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
