Tasks
- Review, development and coordination of hydraulic concepts for hot water and cold water systems;
- Checking hydraulic components and materials, including mechanical and electrical components, actuators, valves, mechanical shut-off valves, etc;
- Reviewing 3D designs and performing calculations, especially valves and HVAC piping system;
- Verification of shipyard plans in accordance with EU regulations for water systems, air-conditioned spaces and ventilation ducts;
- Close communication and collaboration with designers, project engineers, shipyard staff and various project teams;
- Documentation from sketch to final installation and preparation for commissioning of systems, including condensate and ventilation systems on board;
- Checking the routing for correct dimensioning, functionality and accessibility of all pipes and equipment with regard to maintenance and energy saving.
Job requirements
- Several years of experience as a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technician, foreman, design engineer or equivalent degree such as process engineering and focus on HVAC;
- Excellent written and spoken German and English;
- Knowledge in the use of CAD software, especially Cadmatic;
- Expert knowledge of hydraulics, including hot water and chilled water systems, pipes and valves;
- Strong communication skills, self-confident appearance, assertiveness and ability to make decisions;
- Experience in the shipbuilding industry is an advantage.
