Tasks
- Conduct on-site quality control inspections at subcontractors and control mechanical engineering work during the hull phase, inclusive inspection of the completed work;
- Inspect WTB systems on board, including bilge, high fog, fuel, hydraulic systems, and other thick and thin pipework;
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to maintain and improve product quality and perfection;
- Monitor established quality standards and initiate continuous process improvement;
- Maintain digital records of quality measurements for audits and update Inspection Test Plans with new methods and documents;
- Discuss results and report finding to production, inspection services, authorities and customers.
Job requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the hull phase in shipbuilding;
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality; able to work independently and familiar with the entire construction process, regulation, and quality requirements of seaworthy luxury super-yachts;
- Previous experience in a comparable independent position is a necessity due to the robust nature of the role as well as willingness to travel extensively to domestic location in the Rotterdam area and Amsterdam.
