Marine Systems & PipingA Lead Marine Systems Engineer is required by a leading offshore organization based in the Netherlands This is an opportunity for an Engineer with experience working on large commercial offshore vessels.
As the Lead Marine Systems Engineer, you will be expected to utilize your knowledge of engineering disciplines and procedures in the engineering of marine systems such as fuel, fire-extinguishing, cooling systems, propulsion, system diagrams. Leading the design and engineering activities of both in-house staff and external clients.

Tasks
The Lead Marine Systems Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Determining specifications for marine systems together with clients
- Designing and engineering marine systems for all types of vessels, both new vessels and conversions
- Making calculations and layouts for engine rooms like pump calculations, drive calculations, system diagrams, propulsion etc.
- Leading projects, contact with clients and guide designers and engineers
- Work according to classifications and specifications of Lloyds and Veritas
- Investigate and develop opportunities for alternative fuel systems (energy transition)
Job requirements
The Marine Engineer must have the following experience:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Marine Systems Engineer in Offshore engineering
- BSc in Marine Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of the English Language (both written and speaking)
- Strong familiarity with classification standards and codes.
- A self-motivated individual with proven experience in improving technical competencies in work assignments
