Tasks

  • Perform comprehensive calculations and generate precise 2D/3D drawings for various aspects of yacht design, including weight distribution, stability assessments (including incline tests), resistance, and propulsion systems.
  • Develop detailed hull lines plans encompassing appendages, shaft lines, and tank layouts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Analyze and optimize yacht design for comfort, maneuverability, noise reduction, and vibration control.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as loadline requirements, fire safety plans, and watertight integrity standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Naval Architects to exchange information, coordinate design efforts, and address design-related challenges effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices, contributing to the development of optimized design procedures and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Job requirements

  • EU Citizenship!
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Shipbuilding or a related field.
  • Previous experience in ship/yacht building, with a focus on technical calculations, design, and advisory responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English languages, especially in technical communication.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD/PLM systems, with experience in Siemens NX or similar software preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive and organized approach to work planning and execution.
