Are you looking for a new challenge?

I’m looking for a #engineer experienced in detail design& 3D modelling of exterior outfitting elements such as doors, shutters, sunshade & sun awning and so on.

Your responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance to colleagues with setting up exterior arrangements,
- Approve supplier items, contact with the customer, project team and production
- Develop drawings from Naval Architects and Designers into a workable package for production.

Requirements:
- Several years of relevant work experience in the #yacht building industry
- Good command of the English language, spoken and written
- Proficiency in CAD drawing package& software (Siemens NX is a plus).

Aufgaben

In the Special Engineering department, solutions for doors, shutters, railing and sun blinds are devised and designed. There is a lot involved when designing these solutions. For example, consideration is given to the use of materials, the various applicable production techniques, assembly, use, costs, manufacturability and much more, before the solution can be put into production. The Engineering department is responsible for making and analyzing detailed drawings in various parts of the construction process. In this you work with your team on the best possible solutions.

Anforderungen

  • For this position we ask to have a relevant educational background;
  • Some years of experience with different parts of the building process in shipbuilding / yacht building;
  • Knowledge of production techniques and experience with manufacturability of parts to be engineered is important;
  • For this position it is necessary that you master the English language. Dutch is an additional benefit;
  • Computer proficient with the CAD drawing package, NX, Team Center and other basic routines;
  • Moreover, knowledge of relevant regulations such as Lloyd’s, Solas and Large Yacht Code is an advantage.
