Senior Engineer WTB

The function
Is it your passion to be involved in the engineering and application of technical equipment and ship systems on board the yachts under construction? Then the role of Senior Engineer WTB might be something for you.

We are looking for new colleagues for the WTB department due to growth. As a Senior Engineer, it is important to ensure a coordinated, integrated, high-quality and timely elaboration of the final design. You do this together with your fellow engineers to whom you provide functional management. Your team takes care of the detailed engineering, 3D models and various data sheets, among other things.

As a (Senior) Engineer Mechanical Engineering, you specify, standardize and think about a cost-efficient and space-efficient application of the mechanical engineering systems and you guide co-builders in implementing the systems into a well-functioning yacht. You work in a multidisciplinary manner with the disciplines of interior, construction, exterior and special engineering and advise on the mechanical engineering aspects of the engineering based on your expertise. You take into account regulations, quality requirements and Feadship standards. You fall under and report on your work to the Lead Engineer Mechanical Engineering.

We ask
The Senior Engineer provides technical advice;

Making a technical assessment regarding the manufacturability and feasibility of the yacht to be built in consultation with other disciplines;
Providing support to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager Engineering (PME) in the creation of the scope and planning;
Identifying the technical bottlenecks and presenting possible (interdisciplinary) solutions and arguments to support choices.
In addition, as a Senior Engineer you are involved in training new colleagues, improving quality standards and building knowledge and innovation within the field. The Senior Engineers we are looking for contribute to the development of the department and thus the organization as a whole.

You are someone with love for the profession who constantly thinks about how things can be done smarter and better. Your motivation is to want to invent, build and deliver the best and most beautiful yacht every time to a satisfied crew and customer. You are customer- and service-oriented and you think about how you can turn it into that superyacht together with the various disciplines, the project team and the customer team.
For this position we ask that you have a minimum HBO work/thinking level and experience with the various parts of and several years of experience with various parts of the construction process in ship/yacht building;
Knowledge of production techniques and experience with manufacturability of parts to be engineered is important;
For this position it is necessary that you master the Dutch and / or English language and that you are computer literate with, among other things, the CAD drawing package, NX, Team Center and other basic routines.
In addition, knowledge of relevant regulations such as Lloyd's, Solas and Large Yacht Code is an advantage.
