Assistant to the Project Director (German Speaker)

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities are as follow:

• Assist in the development and implementation of all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the project organization achieve project objectives.
• Support the Project Director in the execution of the project from effective date of contract (EDC), which include all engineering, manufacturing and supply chain activities needed to finalize projects within project scope, budget and timelines.
• Play an active role on analysing project issues and help troubleshooting.
• Research information as required and help to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables. 

To be successful for this position, you should have:

• 5-10 years experience and involvement in project management as lead or hands-on support to a long-term complex projects, shipbuilding highly preferred
• Relevant educational Background (Bachelor’s Degree at least) combined with understanding of (financial) management principles and techniques.
• Good command of the English and German language both written and verbal is mandatory
• Able to frequently travel and work in the North of Germany and The Netherlands.
• Competencies: flexible, pragmatic and (environmental) awareness, can get to the heart of an issue quickly and style and level flexibility.
• Excellent antecedents as a pre-employment security screening are a standard part of the recruitment procedure.
