We are looking for a Lead Engineer Mechanical who will work within one of the most important yacht building company in the world. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with a specific sub-contractor and classification societies, discuss project development information based on the specific and in-depth technical knowledge of your expertise.  At the same time, you will monitor the detail engineering process among the stakeholders & involved parties by respecting agreements.

Aufgaben

  • Review the complete detail engineering design of the marine systems (HVAC, propulsion, system diagrams, engine room layout, etc.) and check the technical requirements in order to meet the specifications based on the owner’s wishes as well as the international rules and regulations and the Yard’s standards;
  • Keep contact with involved stakeholder, third parties, subcontractor, regarding the project’s progress and act as the main point of contact for daily operations related to your discipline 
  • Create a detailed plan which includes delivery milestones related to the engineering documentation and monitor the progress;
  • Coordinating subcontractor’s activities, discussing technical specifications, monitoring the quality of work, and agreeing on deadlines during shared project assignments,

Anforderungen

  • BSc or higher in Marine Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimal 5 years’ experience preferably in maritime industry and/or yacht building industry
  • Leading experience is a nice to have 
  • Experience in coordinating sub contractors and class societies 
  • Proficiency in working with 2D and 3D software;
  • Deep knowledge of Cadmatic
  • You are pro-active and problem-solving in your approach
  • Excellent communication skills of English both spoken and written
