E&I Lead Designer - Offshore Energy

As E&I Lead Designer, you will:

• Foster collaboration with engineers and project stakeholders to seamlessly integrate E&I designs into broader project frameworks and systems.
• Lead and manage the E&I design team, orchestrating efforts to guarantee quality outcomes and meet project deadlines effectively.
• Utilize cutting-edge CAD software to craft detailed E&I drawings and schematics tailored to offshore energy projects, ensuring strict adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in E&I design technologies and methodologies, integrating them into design strategies to drive project success.
• Tackle design challenges head-on by applying innovative solutions and industry best practices to optimize E&I design outcomes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and drafters, nurturing their growth and proficiency in E&I design principles.
• Analyze and interpret technical requirements and regulatory mandates, ensuring that E&I designs are compliant with relevant standards and safety protocols.
• Maintain meticulous oversight of E&I design documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for project needs.
• Employ advanced CAD tools to meticulously generate comprehensive design documents, encompassing wiring diagrams, layout blueprints, and control systems schematics.
• Actively contribute to project meetings, offering valuable insights and updates on E&I design progress to project managers and team members.

As E&I Lead Designer, you must have or experience in:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working for an engineering company.
• Leadership experience in overseeing a team of E&I designers and 3D designers in detailed engineering projects.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar leadership position.
• Proficiency in detailed design for greenfield Instrument, fire detection, and telecommunication systems.
• Expertise in detailed design for greenfield Low Voltage Power distribution, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Familiarity with offshore platform design.
• Knowledgeable in HV substations design.
• Skilled in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables such as cable lists, block diagrams, layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, mounting typicals, loop diagrams, LV distribution block diagrams SLD's, small power/lighting/earthing layouts, and cable selection/calculations.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and Navisworks.
• Proficient in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
