Aufgaben

As a Commercial Director, your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of the sales strategy and policies, business needs and external market developments;
  • Develop and strengthen relations with customers and other government and law enforcement customers;
  • Track and analyse the market developments,
  • Initiate relationships with potential (key) customers and detect and acquire new business opportunities;
  • Ensure and optimize market and industry intelligence regarding customer’s needs, high-level trends, and opportunities in close cooperation with the product & proposal department;
  • Build and maintain a network of key internal and/or external stakeholders, represent company's division, initiate, and execute marketing activities in line with business needs, policies, and external developments;
  • Initiate market activities in line with business needs and external developments;
  • Evaluate and/or continuously optimize sales processes, procedures and systems;
  • Initiate & implement changes, and improvements;
  • Manage or lead negotiations with (potential) high value customers;
  • Preparing proposals and contracts, in close collaboration with other department.

Anforderungen

  • MSc in Management or other relevant discipline;
  • Extensive experience with complex sales (related) positions;
  • Setting-up and managing government related contracts & broad knowledge within shipbuilding industry;
  • Proven track record in (technical) commercial management;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language both written & verbal;
  • Competences: customer, market & results orientation, flexibility, quality orientation, leadership, entrepreneurship, judgment, decisiveness, and networking.
  • EU citizen
