WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?At our location in Vlissingen, new construction, service and refit projects are being carried out for one of the largest shipyards in the Netherlands in mega yacht building. The Electrical Engineering project team is responsible for the design and construction of luxury lighting (home automation), power management systems, electrical propulsion systems and system integration. Due to growth, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer Yachts to strengthen this close-knit team. It concerns a position of 32 - 40 hours per week. You will join a team of 4 Engineers led by a Technical Coordinator, who will familiarize you with our systems and working methods. In total, approximately 25 colleagues work on site. You will work closely with colleagues from Production, Commissioning and Service on various projects. Your concrete tasks are: Independent design of all systems on board based on functional specifications, including coordination with the customer;Elaboration of the designs in Eplan and AutoCAD;Substantiating designs with calculations and ensuring testing by inspection bodies such as Lloyd's and GL/DNV;Drawing up specifications for materials and components to be applied;Provide technical support in the production, installation and transfer of the systems to the customer. WHAT DO WE ASK OF YOU?Pleasure in designing larger, complex installations, preferably with various applications, such as light, drive or energy. You have affinity with the maritime world and yachts. Furthermore, we ask: Hbo working and thinking level;5+ years of experience in designing electrical installations;Good knowledge of hardware components;Able to work accurately and structured;Good communication, both written and verbal in Dutch and English.
