Aufgaben
- Design activities for projects and provide critical input to the design process with high quality level.
- Carry out design activities in all phases of project in close supervision of a engineer who reviews and controls the work, to ensure efficient and effective realization of design work.
- Prepare design related documents such as Bill of Materials, Weight and Centre of Gravity calculations.
- Set up various concept alternatives for a concept selection and detail out the chosen concept in order to achieve a fully detailed design ready for fabrication.
- You will be involved in the design of heavy steel structures suitable for the harsh offshore environment for windfarms and the transport, installation and removal of structures and equipment therefore.
- Review & control the work (2D and or 3D drawings) prepared by other Designers.
- Prepare 3D models for presentation & review purposes for the client and to serve as input for the calculation models for the engineers for strength analyses.
- Utilize various design software programs to set up the design solutions required.
- Plan and monitor own work to ensure delivery of requested documents within the deadlines and within time & budget (under supervision of engineer).
- Advise and communicate timely on corrective actions, improvements or optimizations for the design work and the proposed solutions therein.
- Stay up to date with relevant technical innovations of own discipline.
- Perform design activities and handling of the deliverable according to the Quality Management System and project specific procedures.
Anforderungen
- Strong interest in the heavy structures for the offshore/maritime environment and the design thereof.
- Ambition and innovative thinking to come to the best solution and the best suitable design for a client.
- You have just graduated a Structural Engineering education on a MBO+ / HBO level or you have been working as designer for only a few years after your graduation.
- Good English skills, preferably Dutch as well.
- Basic experience with design software like Autocad, Solidworks or Tekla is preferred.
- Flexibility to be involved in various projects and various design solutions and the capability to adapt easily to changing circumstances, design considerations and solutions.
- Living in The Netherlands.
