Lead Mechanical Engineer

Marine Systems & Piping, Mechanical Equipment, HVACWe are looking for a Lead Engineer Mechanical who will work within one of the most important yacht building company in the world. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with other Senior colleagues with a high focus on the design and engineering of piping systems on top-of-the-line superyachts, ensuring that specifications comply with project requirements and classification rules. You will be a senior member of the team, responsible for complex engineering (especially related to the basic and detail design), but not required to manage people.

Aufgaben
- 3D modelling of piping for mechanical systems such as (for cooling water, fuel, bilge and ballast systems etc.),
- Checking 3D modelling
- Creating and checking piping diagrams, equipment and instrumentation diagrams of mechanical systems above mentioned
- Performing some pipes calculations such as size, diameter, load etc
- Advising and supporting junior colleagues
- Solving troubleshoots during the 3D modelling process
- Liaising with Team Leaders in order to support the communication with other departments
Anforderungen
- Only EU citizens will be processed
- 6+ years of experience in the maritime industry and/or yacht building industry
- Proficiency in working with 2D and 3D software;
- Deep knowledge of either Catia or Cadmatic
- You are pro-active and problem-solving in your approach
- Excellent communication skills of English both spoken and written (Dutch is a nice to have)
