For a renowned client in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer who will be in charge to coordinate a group of engineers. You will be in charge to check the detailed design of piping systems of different types of vessels based on the schematics and 2D pre-engineering drawings. In addition, as Lead a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the mechanical engineering process, and you report to the Group Leader engineering.

Aufgaben

  • Check the process to ensure that it meets specifications and regulatory requirements;
  • Prepare and follow up on complex mechanical systems plans, equipment classification, system drawings and feasibility analysis;
  • Check the work of your team members and report the progress to your Group Leader Engineering;
  • Occasionally work with third parties, suppliers and expand the connections with them.

Anforderungen

Additionally you have:

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in either Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5+ years experience in the yacht- or shipbuilding sector;
  • Experience with both basic and detail engineering;
  • Good knowledge of Cadmatic (or similar);
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping and machinery;
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent command of the English language, Dutch is a plus.
