Aufgaben
- Conduct thorough quality inspections throughout the yacht construction process, from hull to final assembly phases.
- Verify the quality of construction work performed by subcontractors, including superstructure doors, watertight doors and hatches, railings, and storage items.
- Maintain strict adherence to established quality standards, initiating continuous process improvements where necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to investigate and address any deviations or errors, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up agreements for repair work.
- Digitally record and archive quality measurements in accordance with the client's procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of inspection methodologies, moments, and documents as required.
- Keep protocols, quality manuals, work instructions, and guidelines up-to-date, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Provide regular updates on inspection results and progress to the Lead Production, department manager, and project stakeholders.
- Document and report findings to production teams, inspection services, competent authorities, and clients to maintain transparency and uphold quality standards.
Anforderungen
- Extensive knowledge/experience of the construction process involved in luxury yacht/shipbuilding.
- A meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and quality requirements for seaworthy luxury yachts.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and instruction sheets, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience using profession-specific measuring equipment within a production environment.
- Ability to work independently, previous experience in a similar position.
