Senior ICSS Engineer

• Design and selection of all instrumentation necessary for the safe and optimum operation of the asset.
• Capable of acting as Package Engineer
• Accurate and able to meet deadlines
• Development of clear engineering documents to explain the design intent
• Knowledge and application of engineering codes, standards, regulations and work procedures
• Able to identify critical area’s in which more instructions and clarifications are needed in order to avoid surprises
• Interface with Discipline Lead to resolve issues and to share information and progresses. Help identify priorities to meet key milestones.
• Not afraid to ask for help when difficulties arise and able to propose valid alternative solutions
• Able to perform accurate self-check of all deliverables before submission for review or approval
• Provide input to other disciplines to support their design requirements and help meeting deadlines.
• Interface with stakeholds to support in executing project deliverables and ensure clear communication from both sides
• Produce clear, well structured and organized documents
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, external consultants and other relevant parties to ensure timely review of documents and comments
• Able to discuss proposed changes that can significantly impact the projet deliverables and ensure that the best option is chosen
• Prioritize activities in order to manage conflicting deadlines to meet key milestones and deliverables
• Ensure changes are conveyed through the established channels of communication to minimize the impact to deliverables and project.
• Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in implementing changes.
• Ensure Management of Change (MOC) procedures are used to promote positive impact to the project.
• Eager to improve technical competences and liaise with the Discipline Lead to ensure continuous improvement is promoted (stay up to date with the latest industry developments).
• Apply applicable lessons learned in the execution of activities to enable information sharing, increase project efficiencies and support/develop best practices.
• Ensure proper level of checks for all deliverables prior to submission.
• Take ownership to define and develop Discipline scope by understanding and evaluating the project requirements.
• Identify dependencies and obtain alignment with project stakeholders to ensure safety and quality are not sacrificed in the effort to meet the project schedule.
• Collaborate with the Discipline Manager/Engineering Project Manager to accurately forecast man-hours, resource needs, and completion date for deliverables.
• Set team expectations for quality standards and enforce safety requirements to meet project needs, corporate standards, and industry regulations.
