As Structural Mechanical Engineer you are involved in designing, calculating and simulating mechanical and hydraulic engineering solutions heavy lifting mechanical hoisting structures, from the very start of the sales process. In addition, you will be the coordinating between all the engineering disciplines and will make it possible to get a working product out of concepts and ideas to a reality. This offers the opportunity to experience the entire process up close, from designing to building the cranes and equipment within a company with a drive; innovation approach!

Aufgaben
- Perform calculations of sizing the mechanical and hydraulic components such as winches, cylinders and gearboxes;
- Make concept and basic design for new equipment based on clients' needs;
- Perform static and dynamic system simulations for dimensioning components;
- Calculating the complete interplay of forces on the structure;
- Do 3D dynamic simulations, FEM (power, fatigue and failure of the complete structure) calculations;
- Converting technical specifications into geometry and capabilities of the complete system;
- Provide technical elaboration on the calculations drawings and designs;
- Be involved in taking the assignments from clients, planning and budget;
Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or relevant direction;
- Minimum 3 years work experience in heavy machine building and knowledge of hoisting and lifting techniques;
- Experience with performing FEM calculations and knowledge of relevant simulation softwares;
- Knowledge of offshore crane standards like EN, ABS, API, DNV, Lloyd’s.
