Marine Systems & Piping
We are seeking a 3D Coordinator Mechanical Engineering for a renowned German shipbuilding company. In this role, you will play a key part in the spatial integration of technical systems and help to ensure that challenging naval projects are implemented efficiently and without collisions. You will work closely with various specialist departments as well as the production team to develop practical solutions for complex installation scenarios.

Aufgaben

  • Development and coordination of 3D installation spaces for complex naval projects within a modern CAD system
  • Conversion of 2D schematics into detailed 3D designs, and integration of pipework, ventilation and other technical systems into the overall model
  • Coordination of installation space planning with adjacent disciplines and ensuring collision-free integration of all trades
  • Development of technical solutions for challenging installation scenarios, taking into account technical and economic requirements
  • Close collaboration with the manufacturing department, as well as design adjustments and optimisation of the models throughout the construction process

Anforderungen

  • A successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical qualification; alternatively, further training as a technician or master craftsman
  • Several years’ professional experience in 3D design or space coordination within shipbuilding or maritime plant construction
  • Experience in using 3D CAD systems and, ideally, Siemens Teamcenter
  • Knowledge of CADMATIC Outfitting is an advantage, but can be acquired during induction if required
  • Strong spatial awareness and a good technical understanding
  • A structured, independent approach to work and a solution-oriented communication style
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Enjoy working as part of interdisciplinary project teams
